Andy Gerber (Owner/Principal Engineer-Producer)

​Andy founded the original Million Yen in the Chicago neighborhood of Rogers Park in the early 90s. A member of many well regarded local bands since the late 80s (The Eisenhowers, Laughing Man, Rustbucket, Million Yen, The Avondale Ramblers), he has had the opportunity to work with many of his peers on demos & album projects.

Best known for long standing creative relationships with Scott Lucas (LOCAL H, THE MARRIED MEN) and the TOSSERS, he has also helmed recordings for producer MIKE CHAPMAN (Sweet, Blondie, The Knack, Pat Benatar), SMOKING POPES, THE EFFIGIES, ELIZABETH ELMORE, RICK NIELSEN (Cheap Trick), AM TAXI and many more.

Jeff Dean (Engineer-Producer)

Jeff Dean got his start in 1999, interning at Studio Chicago. From there, he went on to
apprentice with engineer and Columbia professer Gary Kahn.

Since 2009 Jeff has been working out of Million Yen, with credits including Chicago veterans Braid and Articles of Faith, as well as California pop punk heroes Samiam to name a few. Internationally, Jeff has worked with veteran punk legend Jake Burns of Stiff Little Fingers, as well as Leeds England's The Magnificent and Nottingham England's Young Light (members of Amusement Parks on Fire/Giant Drag). Jeff is currently the guitarist for the bands All Eyes West, Dead Ending  (members of Rise Against/Alkaline Trio),and The Bomb (members of Naked Raygun). Jeff enjoys skateboarding and Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Jeremy Chereskin (Engineer-Producer-Composer)

Like many audio engineers, Jeremy Chereskin's background began as a musician.  He plays drums fluently and enjoys dabbling with keys and bass guitar as well in his free time.  In addition to engineering & producing, Jeremy also specializes in composition, beat making and sound design.

In 2011 Jeremy took an internship in LA with Tyler Bates, a composer scoring many feature films and TV series
(as well as a touring guitarist with Marilyn Manson). 

Jeremy returned to Chicago where he began working at Chicago Recording Company in the late summer of 2012, assisting veteran engineer Jeff Lane for 3 years while engineering his own projects intermittently.  His CRC credits include Jeremih’s 'Late Nights Mixtape' & 'Late Nights the Album', Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment’s ‘SURF', Jennifer Hudson’s “Whatever Makes You Happy” on FOX’s ‘Empires' Soundtrack, “What Does Freedom Mean? (To a free man)”
