MILLION YEN was formed in 1998 by Andy Gerber & Sean Mulroney to create melodic rock with a dark edge. Joined soon after by Chris Thies, they took the name from Andy's recording studio and played their first gig on New Years Eve 1998 opening for CHEAP TRICK. They released a 7" vinyl single (Chemical Drip/Velveteen) in 1999 to rave reviews, and followed with the full length "Blue Television Windows" in 2001. Their song "One Last Rush" was included on Chicago Alt Rock powerhouse Q101's "Local 101" CD in Spring 2000. They have shared the stage with such acts as The Posies, Nash Kato, Gigolo Aunts, Smoking Popes and many more. The band is currently working on its second CD.
